Close Active Document in Full-Screen Multi-Document Apps

Closes the currently active document in full-screen applications that support multiple open documents simultaneously.

When to use it

When working in a full-screen app like a document viewer or editor that allows multiple documents open, and you want to close the current one without exiting the app.

Pro tip

This shortcut is specific to apps that use MDI (Multiple Document Interface) in full-screen mode; in many modern apps, Ctrl+W or Ctrl+F4 may close a tab instead.
