Cycle through screen elements

Press F6 to move focus between screen elements in a window or on the desktop, such as the address bar, toolbar, and content area.

When to use it

Use when you need to quickly navigate between different parts of a window or the desktop without using a mouse.

Pro tip

In File Explorer, F6 cycles through the navigation pane, file list, and address bar. In browsers, it cycles through the address bar, bookmarks bar, and page content.
