Open the New Name dialog to define a named range or constant for use in formulas.

When to use it

When you need to assign a meaningful name to a cell range, formula, or constant for easier reference in formulas.

Pro tip

Use named ranges to make formulas more readable and easier to maintain. Names are absolute by default.
