Open a new tab in File Explorer

Opens a new tab in the current File Explorer window, allowing you to browse multiple folders without opening separate windows.

When to use it

When you want to keep your current folder view open while navigating to another location in the same File Explorer window.

Pro tip

Use Ctrl+W to close the current tab, and Ctrl+Shift+T to reopen a recently closed tab.
