Permanently delete selected item

Delete the selected file or folder immediately without sending it to the Recycle Bin.

Shift + Delete

When to use it

When you are certain you want to permanently remove a file or folder and do not need the option to restore it from the Recycle Bin.

Pro tip

Use with caution: this action cannot be undone. For a safer delete, use Ctrl + D or Delete to move items to the Recycle Bin first.
