Move cursor to beginning of previous paragraph
Moves the cursor to the start of the previous paragraph in a document or text field.
Move cursor one word left
Moves the cursor one word to the left in text fields and documents.
Move cursor one word to the right
Moves the text cursor one word to the right in editable text fields.
Select text or multiple items in a window
Hold Shift and press Arrow keys to extend selection of text or multiple items in a window.
Select text word by word
Extend selection one word to the left or right.
Activate default button or open selected folder
Press Enter to activate the highlighted default button in a dialog box or open the currently selected folder in File Explorer.
Move forward through options in a dialog box or window
Press Tab to move forward through options in a dialog box or window.
Move backward through options
Move backward through options in a dialog box or list.
Go back to previous folder in File Explorer
Navigate to the previously viewed folder in File Explorer.
Copy screenshot of entire screen to clipboard
Press PrtScn to capture the entire screen and copy it to the clipboard.
Copy screenshot of active window to clipboard
Captures a screenshot of only the currently active window and copies it to the clipboard, ready to paste into documents or image editors.
Display help for the current app or Windows
Open the help menu or support page for the currently active application, or Windows help if no app-specific help is available.
Cycle through screen elements
Press F6 to move focus between screen elements in a window or on the desktop, such as the address bar, toolbar, and content area.
Activate the menu bar in the active app
Press F10 to activate the menu bar of the currently active application, allowing you to navigate menus using keyboard arrows.
Open Quick Settings or Action Center
Open the Quick Settings panel (Windows 11) or Action Center (Windows 10) to access common settings and notifications.
Focus first notification area icon
Moves focus to the first icon in the taskbar notification area (system tray).
Open voice typing dictation
Opens the voice typing dictation feature to convert speech to text.
Cycle through taskbar apps
Press Win + T to cycle focus through apps on the taskbar, including pinned and running apps.
Open snap layout menu for current window
Press Win + Z to open the snap layout menu for the active window, allowing you to quickly snap it into a predefined layout on Windows 11.
Open Emoji Panel
Press Windows key + period (.) to open the emoji panel for inserting emojis, GIFs, and symbols.
Open emoji panel
Opens the emoji picker panel to insert emojis, GIFs, and symbols.
Open taskbar app at position
Press Win + 1 through 9 to open the corresponding app pinned to the taskbar. The first pinned app is position 1, second is 2, and so on.
Open app jump list from taskbar
Open the right-click jump list for the app pinned at the specified position on the taskbar.
Stretch window vertically
Stretches the active window to fill the full height of the screen while keeping its width unchanged.
