Change file and folder icon size
Hold Ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in or out, changing the size and appearance of file and folder icons in File Explorer.
Switch to Tab Number
Press Ctrl + Number (1-9) to switch to the corresponding tab in your browser or tabbed application. For example, Ctrl+1 goes to the first tab, Ctrl+2 to the second, and so on.
Resize all columns to fit text
Automatically adjusts the width of all columns in a list or table to fit the content.
Expand All Folders in Navigation Pane
Expands all folders in the navigation pane tree view in File Explorer.
Change View Style
Switch between different view styles in File Explorer or desktop. Press Ctrl+Shift+Number (1-9) to change the layout, e.g., 2 for Large icons, 6 for Details.
Collapse selection or select parent folder
Collapses the current expanded selection in File Explorer, or selects the parent folder if the current item is already collapsed.
Expand selection or select first subfolder
In File Explorer, if the current selection is collapsed, this shortcut expands it to show its contents. If already expanded, it selects the first subfolder.
Move file by dragging with Shift
Hold Shift while dragging a file to move it to the drop location instead of copying.
Show more options context menu
Opens the legacy full context menu with more options for the selected item.
Move focused app icon on taskbar
Move the currently focused app icon on the taskbar in the direction of the arrow key.
Cycle through grouped app windows on taskbar
Hold Ctrl and click a grouped app icon on the taskbar to cycle through its open windows.
Open App as Administrator
Open the selected app on the taskbar with administrator privileges.
Show the window menu for the app
Shift + right-click an app icon on the taskbar to open the window menu for that app.
Show window menu for grouped taskbar button
Shift + right-click a grouped taskbar button to display the window menu for that group.
Open another instance of an app from taskbar
Shift + click a taskbar app icon to launch a new instance of that app.
Open taskbar settings
Open the taskbar settings page in the Settings app.
Open jump list for taskbar app at position
Open the jump list for the app pinned to the taskbar at the specified position (0-9).
Switch to last active window of pinned app
Switch to the last active window of the app pinned to the taskbar at the specified position (0-9).
Open App as Administrator from Taskbar Position
Opens a new instance of the app pinned at the specified position on the taskbar with administrator privileges.
Open taskbar app by position
Press Win + number (0-9) to open the app pinned to the taskbar at that position. If the app is already open, it switches to that app.
Start new instance of pinned taskbar app
Opens a new instance of the app pinned to the taskbar at the specified position (1-9, 0 for tenth).
Move to previous app in taskbar
Switch to the previous app in the taskbar. On multi-monitor setups, repeated use cycles through apps on all monitors.
Turn Magnifier On
Open the Magnifier tool to zoom in on parts of the screen.
Zoom in and out using mouse scroll wheel
Hold Ctrl+Alt and scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in or out on the screen using Magnifier.
